This special Mass will be to honor the first Native American Saint in the Catholic Church.Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha is scheduled for Canonization on October, 21, 2012, by His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican in Rome, Italy.
 
More than 700 Native Americans representing Tribes from across the United States will travel to Rome to witness the declaration of Kateri Tekakwitha as a saint and will attend in full regalia. Both Masses will incorperate Native American drum, Native American music & song, and a Smudging Ceremony. Bishop Armando X. Ochoa extends an invitation of your presence to all members of the Native American community, and those who have a devotion to Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha.
