The Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno, Catholic Cemeteries is recruiting for the position of Cemetery Grounds/Facility Supervisor. The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and supervising all operations and staff involved in cemetery internment services, as well as the operations and maintenance of cemetery ground, buildings and equipment. The incumbent under the general direction of the Director of Catholic Cemeteries assists with the day-to day supervision and management of the cemetery grounds and physical plant. The incumbent is responsible for the supervision of regular and part-time groundskeepers, volunteers, and vendors. Supervisory duties and responsibilities include the interviewing, selecting, developing/training, assigning, evaluating, promoting, and disciplining of subordinate employees.
The Cemetery Grounds/Facility Supervisor performs a variety of technical and supervisory tasks to ensure that all Catholic cemetery locations maintain Diocesan standards, and operate efficiently. In addition to overseeing all grounds keeping staff, the incumbent will implement local, state, and federal laws, regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to cemetery operations.
