Long is a catechist for the Diocese of Fresno and a convert from Hmong Shamanism and Animism. He has been instructing Catholic Youth and Adults for over 13 years. In 1999, He co-founded the Hmong Involved Catholic Youth (HICY), which still continues to hold annual retreats and activities for Hmong Youth from California. Long volunteers for the Hmong American National Catholic Association (HANCA) as a member of the Board of Directors and serves as the organization’s Youth Ministry Chair. He has extensive experience organizing youth retreats and has been invited to speak to various Hmong communities across the United States. He is currently pursuing dual Master’s Degrees in Physician Assistant Studies and Public Health. Thereafter, he would like to obtain a graduate degree in Theology or Evangelization. Long is happily married with three children.

Kongmeng has been a part of the St. Mary’s Hmong Catholic Community since 2001. He has been an active officer with St. Mary’s Hmong Catholic Young Adult Group having served as President, Fundraising Chair, Hmong Youth Group Advisor, Hmong Language Instructor, Director of skits, and St. Mary’s Hmong Community New Year Chair. He has been involved with the “Get On The Bus” program, Hmong Youth and Young Adult Choir, and participates in numerous St. Mary fundraisers. He has also coordinated several skits with different genres providing biblical messages and good morals to his audience.
