Bishop Brennan was the celebrant of mass on Sunday, June 10 at St. Paul Newman Center, Fresno to commemorate Deacon John Supino. Bishop Brennan gave a special thank you and farewell to Deacon John Supino as he retires as Parish Life Coordinator (Parish Administrator) from St. Paul Catholic Newman Center, Fresno.
Deacon John was ordained as a permanent deacon in 2003 and appointed as Parish Life Coordinator/Administrator for the Newman Center in 2008 by Bishop John Steinbock. The Newman Center has been part of Deacon John’s life since it was established in 1964. He even served as the first president of the Newman Club student organization, now known as the Catholic Student Association.
Bishop Brennan, Diocese of Fresno and St. Paul Catholic Newman Center thank Deacon John for his dedication and support for the Newman Center and Diocese and wish him a happy retirement.
