On Good Friday, the St. Ann Community in Ridgecrest put on a Live Stations of the Cross. Nineteen Confirmation students helped in the demonstration of this beautiful devotion.
An inquirer in RCIA sent this message, which is a good reminder for some of us who may take this part of our Catholic faith for granted.
"I'm speechless, really...
A large crowd gathered as they (we) prepared to make the trek to Golgotha. I was there in the midst of that crowd, my emotions were just a little numb. This really happened.
Nailing him to the cross, the hammer making contact, very impactful. Never have I seen anything like this before. I've watched the passion years ago when it first came out but this...? I felt part of the program. Those directly involved, those that wore the costumes, very impressive.
Again, My thoughts also went to the thought that a large crowd of people followed. I am still taking it all in. Wow. Thank you, St Ann's for this 'the stations of the cross.'"
