For twelve years, the parishioners of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, in Reedley, have gathered faithfully, and united with Catholics throughout the world, on this special day at 12 noon, to honor and celebrate the apparitions which occurred in 1917 with Our Lady of Fatima, in Fatima, Portugal. This past Saturday, October 12th was no exception. Devoted parishioners, to the Blessed Virgin Mary, gathered in front of the altar, with reverence in and around the pergola at the new St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, to pray the Holy Rosary. This annual event is promoted by the America Needs Fatima Organization, which campaigns to spread the messages of Our Lady of Fatima. A special dedicated team assisted by placing blue and white linens on the tables and the altar. The Statue of Our Lady was adorned by Jenny Estrada, whom dressed Our Lady with a vibrant sky-blue colored veil which matched two beautiful fall-colored floral arrangements on the altar.
The entire program and Holy Rosary, was accompanied with music, provided by Jenny. In addition, the parishioners brought their religious articles for a special blessing done by Father Carlo Balaguer, so that they could, in turn, take this special blessing back to their homes.
With jubilant hearts of joy and peace, we will faithfully continue to pray the Holy Rosary. A special thank you to Father Denny and St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church for their ongoing support to this annual autumn event. Of course, this event would not come together without a few blessed devoted souls of Our Lady of Fatima. Thank you Salvador Gutierrez and Jenny Estrada for always saying yes to accompanying our public rosary. Until next year, God’s favor, praying to see all of you in October 2025 for this special time to pray the rosary and pay tribute to Our Lady of Fatima.
