In response to the LA Dodgers’ decision to recognize an anti-Catholic political group for its community efforts and that political group’s mockery of the Catholic faith, Bishop Brennan calls for prayer on the Feast of the Sacred Heart. Bishop Brennan joins his brother Bishops in calling for the Dodgers’ decision to be reversed. Bishop Brennan asks that you keep Catholic religious sisters and their dignity in your prayers. Bishop Brennan wants to remind the Faithful that we also need to respect the dignity of the LGBT community.

O Most holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing,
I adore you, I love you and with a lively sorrow for my sins,
I offer you this poor heart of mine.
Make me humble, patient, pure, and wholly obedient to your will.
Grant, good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you.
Protect me in the midst of danger; comfort me in my afflictions.
Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs,
your blessings on all that I do, and the grace of holy death.
Within your heart I place my every care.

Te adoro, te amo y con una viva tristeza por mis pecados,
Te ofrezco este pobre corazón mío.
Hazme humilde, paciente, puro, y completamente obediente a tu voluntad.
Concédeme, buen Jesús, que pueda vivir en ti y para ti.
Protégeme en medio del peligro; consuélame en mis aflicciones;
