St. Charles Borromeo is the largest parish church in North America seating over 3,200 people. It is the newest of the church communities that comprise the Good Shepherd Catholic Parish in Visalia. Good Shepherd Parish is a consolidation of the Catholic communities of Visalia and Goshen, CA. The consolidation is an innovative answer to the lack of vocations in our Diocese. Having a church with a big capacity, allows one priest to serve more people. St. Charles Borromeo is also the central meeting point for all Diocesan Masses and Celebrations.
The church is named after the famous bishop-saint of Milan, Italy, who was instrumental in establishing Catholic Education and Seminaries throughout the church.
