Preparations Continue for Diocesan Congress 2018

October 9, 2018

What’s New:

Thirty years ago, the first Diocesan Ministry Day was held on September 30, 1989 at the Fresno City College. Hundreds of catechists and other ministers gathered to learn more about their ministry and faith. As we celebrate the 30th Annual Diocesan Congress, here are some new additions to our regular event.

Friday Sessions:

Everyone who works in ministry needs time to reflect, share, and grow in their own faith. For that reason, we have added an extra day to Congress, just for you! Join us for sessions that are focused on the ministries that fill our parishes given by Pastoral Staff and other invited guests as they guide us in improving how we serve, and giving concrete ideas to maintain personal relationship with God. Although designed for parish staff and leadership, Friday sessions are open to everyone.

Blessing of Diocesan Certified Catechists

On Saturday morning, our Bishop Armando Ochoa joins us to celebrate Mass. This year, we will honor all who have current certifications as Catechists or Master Catechists with a special blessing and a small gift at the Congress Mass. Come and let us celebrate all the wonderful work you do!
